Coconut Syrup – The Stay At Home Chef

This coconut syrup is so easy to make, and we seriously use it on everything. Add it to your coffee, hot chocolate, pancakes and waffles, desserts, and drinks! It’s super versatile, and you can keep it in your fridge for up to a month!

Drizzle over our German Pancakes or our Easy Oatmeal Pancakes.

We love this because it’s made with only a few ingredients and without any additives or preservatives. This syrup is made with real coconut milk instead of artificial flavoring, which not only gives a better flavor but makes it creamier, too.

Ingredient Notes

• Butter: We use salted butter for this recipe. You can use unsalted instead, but add just a pinch of salt.
• Sugar: Standard white granulated sugar works best for this syrup.
• Coconut Milk: Use a high-quality coconut milk, which typically has a higher fat content, making for a creamier, better-tasting syrup.
• Vanilla Extract: Use pure vanilla extract for the best flavor.

Syrup Consistency

If you want a thinner syrup, use more water and simmer for a shorter time.

If you like a thicker syrup, use less water and let it simmer for a longer time.

Serving Suggestions

Breakfast: Pour over pancakes, waffles, French toast, and crepes. You could even add this as a sweetener for your oatmeal and yogurt.

Drinks: Sweeten up drinks like coffee, hot chocolate, lemonade, and even sodas. We love a dirty soda (Utah style with a lime wedge), or you could make a creamy Italian soda.

Desserts: Drizzle this delicious syrup over ice cream, baked goods, or cheesecake.
